Privacy Policy

Geotok turns videos you share with us into a personal map of places. We collect only the data needed to make that work: your account identifier (Sign in with Apple), the video URLs you choose to share with the app, and the places extracted from those videos. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.

• Account info. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-issued user identifier and (optionally) the display name and email you choose to share. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
• Content you share. Video URLs you paste or share into the app, captions, on-screen text from thumbnails (processed on-device), and (for video content) audio transcripts generated server-side.
• Places you save. Names, addresses, and metadata for the venues extracted from your shared videos.
• Subscription state. Whether you have an active subscription, processed via RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We do not see or store your payment instrument.
• Device and diagnostic data. Crash logs, basic device model and OS version, and request logs needed to operate the service.

• Run the AI extraction pipeline that turns your shared videos into mapped places.
• Store your saved places so you can see them across launches.
• Manage your subscription and entitlements.
• Investigate bugs, abuse, and service availability.

• Sell or rent your personal data.
• Show advertising in the app.
• Post or message on your behalf to TikTok, Instagram, or any other service.
• Track you across other apps or websites.

We rely on the following service providers to operate Geotok:

• Supabase — authentication, database, server-side functions.
• Google Cloud Run — server-side video processing.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — payment processing.
• RevenueCat — subscription receipt management.
• xAI / Grok — language-model extraction of places from text.
• Groq — audio transcription.
• TripAdvisor and Foursquare — place lookup and verification.

We keep your account data and saved places for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). On account deletion we permanently remove your saved places, video share history, and profile within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or have it deleted by emailing the address below. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively; we will honour them on the same terms.

Geotok is rated 4+ but is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal info, contact us and we will delete it.
