Privacy Policy

GeoTok turns video links and screenshots you choose to import into a personal map of places. We process account information, imported content, saved places, purchases and usage data to provide and improve the service. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads in the app.

• Account info. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-issued user identifier and (optionally) the display name and email you choose to share. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
• Content you import. Video URLs you paste or share, available captions, text and audio transcripts used to identify places. Video processing can happen on our servers and through processing services. For screenshot imports, the app reads text on your device and sends that text and any city hint to the server to find suggested places. The screenshot image itself is not sent by that text-extraction request.
• Places you save. Names, addresses, and metadata for the venues extracted from your shared videos.
• Purchases. Subscription status, transaction identifiers and guide-credit purchases, processed via RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We do not receive your card details.
• Usage and diagnostic data. App and website actions, account or installation identifiers, app version, locale and processing outcomes help us understand use and investigate errors. Website analytics also measure page visits and link clicks.

• Find suggested places from your imported links and screenshot text.
• Store your saved places so you can see them across launches.
• Manage your subscription and entitlements.
• Investigate bugs, abuse, and service availability.
• Understand onboarding, purchases and whether imports deliver useful results.

• Sell or rent your personal data.
• Show advertising in the app.
• Post or message on your behalf to TikTok, Instagram, or any other service.

We rely on the following service providers to operate Geotok:

• Supabase — authentication, database, server-side functions.
• Video-processing services: our backend sends video links to a processing worker for text and audio analysis.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — payment processing.
• RevenueCat — subscription receipt management.
• xAI / Grok — language-model extraction of places from text.
• TripAdvisor and Foursquare: venue lookup and matching.
• Google Places: additional place information and photos.
• PostHog and Amplitude: app usage analytics where enabled.
• Google Analytics: website usage and link-click analytics.

We keep your account data and saved places for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). On account deletion we permanently remove your saved places, video share history, and profile within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or have it deleted by emailing the address below. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively; we will honour them on the same terms.

GeoTok is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal info, contact us and we will delete it.
